After a year of experimenting, we recently developed an effective water-based finishing process. After all, why use toxic chemicals to stain and protect wooden furniture, when translucent water-based materials create a more natural super-strong finish.

As part of our commitment to all environmental concerns, we make sure that our furniture meets stringent emissions requirements. Following independent third-party tests screening for over 10,000 chemicals, our GreenGuard finishes are certified to be completely non-toxic. In this way, we help to maintain safe, healthy air indoors.

Our water-based finishes scored a ‘PASS’ in tests covering vital issues such as lead content, stain resistance (including ketchup, vinegar, cooking oil and red wine), resistance to boiling water and ‘stickability’ of the surface finish to the furniture.

Our finishing colour range

Each water-based colour is crafted by hand through a complex, multi-stage process. As a result, the exceptionally strong top-coat won’t be harmed by a hot cup of coffee or an ice-cold glass of beer without a coaster.
